Greetings, server owners and players!

This is a major update for BlissSMP, focusing on a complete overhaul of the ability system to make gameplay more dynamic, visually impressive, and stable.


[NEW FEATURES]

  • Full Off-Hand Support: All Gem abilities can now be activated while the Gem is in your off-hand, providing greater combat flexibility.
  • Action Bar Configuration:You now have full control over the action bar display. Two new options have been added to config.yml:
    • gem-mechanics.show-actionbar: Set to false to disable the ability action bar completely.
    • gem-mechanics.show-cooldown-in-actionbar: Set to false to hide cooldown timers, while still showing when abilities are ready.

[BUG FIXES & STABILITY IMPROVEMENTS]

  • Fixed Ender Eye Gem: The Void Gem (Ender Eye) can no longer be thrown when held in the off-hand.
  • Comprehensive Bundle Protection:
    • Fixed a critical bug where Gems and other protected items could be placed into colored bundles. This protection now applies to all bundle variants.
    • Fixed an exploit where bundles could be placed inside other bundles.
  • Client-Side Glitch Fix: Resolved a visual duplication glitch that occurred when inventory interactions (like placing items in bundles) were cancelled by the server. Player inventories will now update correctly.
  • Earthquake Ability Fix: The Level 2 Earth Gem's "Earthquake" ability has been fixed and now functions as intended.
  • Backend Stability: Introduced a new Temporary Block Manager to safely track all blocks created by abilities (e.g., Earthen Wall). This system ensures all temporary blocks are removed upon server shutdown or reload, preventing any world corruption or leftover blocks.

[ABILITY OVERHAUL & ENHANCEMENTS]

This update rebalances and redesigns several abilities to be more powerful and visually engaging.

Fire Gem (Level 2):

  • Solar Flare (Reworked): Instead of a simple projectile, this is now a continuous, channeled beam of solar energy that rapidly damages any entity in its path.
  • Volcanic Eruption (Reworked): Now creates a small, physical volcano structure from the ground that erupts for several seconds, launching magma blocks and smoke particles to create a dangerous area-of-denial zone.
Earth Gem (Level 2):

  • Earthquake (Reworked): The ability now creates a visible, expanding shockwave of rising earth blocks, launching nearby enemies into the air and applying a significant slowness effect.
  • NEW ABILITY: Earthen Spikes (Replaces Stone Fortress): The defensive fortress has been replaced with a powerful offensive ability. Target an area to cause deadly stone spikes to erupt from the ground, impaling and heavily damaging any enemies caught in the area.
Void Gem (Level 2):

  • NEW ABILITY: Void Rupture (Replaces Void Blink): The simple invisibility has been upgraded. Now, when you teleport, you leave behind a lingering void rift at your original location. This rift damages and applies a WITHER effect to any enemy that enters it for a short duration.
Astra Gem (Level 2):

  • Cosmic Rift (Improved): The rift now automatically closes after 2 minutes if not used. While active, a subtle particle trail will guide you back to your rift's location, preventing you from losing it.
Quality of Life:

  • Ability Name Formatting: Ability names in the action bar are now properly formatted (e.g., gravity_well now displays as Gravity Well).
